Become a Member of the Bulkley Valley Research Centre...
The Bulkley Valley Research Centre is a registered not-for-profit society under the Societies Act of British Columbia with charitable status. Anyone—including individuals, organizations, companies, First Nations, governments, universities—with an interest in natural resources research and management can apply for voting membership in the society.
There are three categories of membership:
- Supporting Membership,
- Associate Membership and
- Not-for-profit and Educational Institutions
Membership Services
On becoming a member, the Bulkley Valley Research Centre offers you the following services;
- An invitation to the society’s Annual General Meeting.
- An opportunity to vote within the society.
- Two annual newsletters. Bi-weekly notices of our seminar series (October to April).
- The opportunity to receive emails regarding new internal and external employment, contract or volunteer opportunities.*
- Priority in hiring and contract awards.
- Reduced fees at Bulkley Valley Research Centre conferences.
- Access to a list of specialties represented within our membership.
- Office/Conference equipment rentals. Administrative support.
- Short-term office space (subject to availability).
* As a member you are automatically signed up for our ”Postings” list serve, but you can unsubscribe at any time by going to Postings and unsubscribing at the bottom of the page.
Supporting Members are eligible to have their logo and link on our website.
Membership Fees
Depending on the level of support you want to give the Bulkley Valley Research Centre, membership fees for the Centre are as follows:
- Supporting Membership: cost $2000.00 annually
- Associate Membership: cost $50.00 annually
- Not-for-profit and Educational Institutions: cost $50.00 annually
Become a Member or Renew your Membership
To become a member please mail us a copy of the Membership Form, along with your cheque, to: Bulkley Valley Research Centre, Box 4274, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0.
If you are already a member simply mail us a cheque with "membership" on the memo line.
Donations
We have two areas where you can donate. You can donate to the Scholarship Fund or to our Research Program.
Mail your donation to: Bulkley Valley Research Centre, Box 4274, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0. Please let us know where you would like your donation to go.
Donations to our Scholarship Fund or Research Program are tax deductible.
